HI, IM PHILLIP
I'M A BRAND
DESIGNER
I focus on helping clients bring clarity and polish to their visual identity. I approach every project with the goal of making your brand feel more intentional, modern, and aligned with the story you want to tell.
My priority is making the design process clear and stress-free. I stay organized, communicate openly, and make sure every decision has a purpose. Whether you need branding elements, layout design, or visual support for a larger project, I focus on delivering work that feels thoughtful, consistent, and built around your goals.
A PATH
TO MY
CREATIVE
MINDSET
A long mix of education, experiences, and personal curiosity that help me understand to design with intention
My skill set comes from a mix of formal training and hands-on experience. I studied digital media at South Carolina State University, web design at DeVry, and small business at Pasadena College. Later, I continued building my creative foundation through design and branding courses at UCLA Extension, where I learned how to combine visuals with strategy and storytelling.
Freelance work helped me take everything I learned and put it into real projects. I created logos, brand elements, marketing materials, and apparel concepts for different clients and personal ventures. Each project taught me something new about communication, consistency, and how design shapes the way people experience a brand.
All of these experiences come together in the way I work today. I approach every project with a strong understanding of design, a practical sense of how visuals support a message, and a clear focus on creating work that aligns with what the client wants to achieve.
BUILT ON STRUCTURE, SHAPE BY LIFE
A balance of discipline, openness, and real experience behind every project I take on.
A lot of who I am comes from my time in the U.S. Navy and the way I grew up. I served as an air traffic controller, a job that required focus, calm communication, and the ability to make steady decisions in high-pressure moments. That experience shaped the way I work today. It taught me to stay level-headed, pay attention to details, and keep my priorities clear no matter what is happening around me.
Growing up in a big family also played a huge part in the person I became. I learned how to share space, get along with different personalities, and find patience even in loud or busy environments. It taught me how to listen, how to compromise, and how to work well with people who think differently from me.
I’ve lived in different states throughout my life, which exposed me to all kinds of people, cultures, and perspectives. Those experiences made me more open-minded, understanding, and comfortable adapting to new situations. I’ve met people with different backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of seeing the world, and that helped me become someone who can connect easily and communicate well.
All of these parts of my life come together in the way I work now. I stay calm when things get busy, I respect the people I work with, and I bring a grounded mindset into every project. It helps me build strong relationships, communicate clearly, and approach design with patience and purpose.
